According to how she does her job, there is no relation to lawyers since Erin is seen to be a woman who mostly uses critical thinking in doing her work as compared to lawyers who employ what they have been taught in institutions. After Erin getting employed, we see that she struggles in her job until she is given a salary increment and after the increment is given to her she ensures that her children attend school. Also, we see that Erin after understanding that she is not literate like other people we see that she struggles until she wins the people's trust. Erin tries her best with her research until she is trusted by the Hinkley residents (Brockovich and Lyons, 2011). Regarding this, we then learn that she is a woman that does not give up and she is determined in anything she does even having the fact that she has no education as compared to other residents, lawyers and even employees in the Pacific Gas and Electric company.

Moreover, Erin’s work can’t be related to lawyers work since in the film we see that she is very good in research. For instance, after knowing that PG&E could slow any settlement for many decades through appeals and delays Ed who is Erin’s lawyer takes the opportunity and arranges for disposition via binding arbitration, and this could only go through if the majority of the plaintiffs agree to the idea. Hence, Erin returned to Hinkley and persuaded all the plaintiffs who were around 634 to go along so as to prevent being poisoned. We see that Erin is a woman who does all her job from the bottom of her heart although she is despised of her dressing and undermined in the company she does not give up with what she is expected to accomplish.

Hence lawyers should be like Erin or try to emulate Erin’s behaviors and also how she does her work. Also, there is a point when Erin requests to be given job by her lawyer Ed; we see that she is a woman who has a driving force and always determined in wherever she does.
