Extract of sample "Emotional Intelligence"

Mutual trust, identity, and efficiency help foster collaborative work practices that lead to creative outputs and higher work outcome. Most importantly, regulating emotional intelligence helps to maintain team cohesiveness that creates a more invigorating environment for others. Thus EI needs to be evolved as an intrinsic part of team-building processes. Developing emotional intelligence has become a hugely critical issue because rapid globalization and technology have forced people from diverse background to come together and work as a team.

Promoting EI across people would facilitate a better understanding of cross-cultural values and help build a relationship based on understanding and mutual respect. This would not help team leader to exploit cultural competencies of its team members from diverse background but regulating members’ emotions would also ensure that they are motivated for sustained performance. Moreover, EI is also the key facilitator for managing changes as it helps people to understand the external environment and exhorts them to exploit new opportunities which might come in the guise of obstacles.

Thus, EI creates positive attitude across the workforce and encourages critical thinking that endorses new perspectives in obstacles and problems so that they can be turned into success.
