A Story of Little Red Riding Hood Their lived in perfection of breathes a little village girl who was prettiest who had ever been seen. Her mother loved her a lot. And her grandmother all the more loved her and made her a little red hood, which became her so well that no matter where she went for visit, or stay she was being named as Little Red Riding Hood. Scene 1 The house of Little Red Riding Hood has been so decorated that there is a small room visible to the audiences decorated efficiently with flowers and green leaves. There is a small bed for Little Red Riding Hood where there is being placed a beautiful cartoon drawings containing photograph. The room exhibits a peaceful and a very serene environment, which is pleasing in structure and form and is essentially beautiful and appealing. One fine sunny day Little Red Riding Hood’s mother made and baked some sweet tasting, high-loving cakes and then asked with love-filled words to her daughter Little Red Riding Hood “Little Red darling go with your precious tiny steps to your loving grandmother’s house and as you go kindly take the cakes baked and butter packed afresh for her good old self”. Little Red Riding Hood dressed her pretty self and took her tiny sweet steps to grandmother’s house. Scene 2. The jungle scene was uniquely constructed on the stage with the aid of pots of green plants in every place. The green plants were so decorated so as to emphasize the essential picture of being a dense green forest with a narrow margin for walk. When Little Red Riding Hood was on her way through the deep big forest, she had an acquaintance with old Father Wolf. The Wolf was wearing dark clothes and was huge in structure and dangerous in appearance. The Wolf held deep within a desire to have a delicious feast by eating Little Red Riding Hood but dared not do so. The reason encountered for his this behavior was his feeling of fear that arise from the near presence of woodcutters. The Wolf asked Little Red Riding Hood the place to which she was going. She innocently answered the Wolf that “I am going to meet my grandmother and am taking with love and surprise a cake and a pot of butter which my mother has sent to her”. The Wolf cunningly asked Little Red Riding Hood, “Does your good grandmother lives far away”. Innocent Little Red replied, “Yes, it is younder by the mill which you are see right below there, and it stand as the first house in the village”. The Wolf held high his cunningness and replied’ “Let’s have a game of race and thus run from different paths to see who reaches the grandmother’s house first”. The Wolf thus ran with all his might by the shorter road and the Little Red Riding Hood continued by the longer route. The Riding Hood as she walked through the bushes she collected nuts, ran after the butterflies and made fun by nosegays of the wild flowers, which she discovered on her way. Scene 3 Scene 3 is of grandmother’s house, which consists of an old door, which is being placed upright in front of a small broken hut. The door is being closed and appears to be weak in structure. The Wolf approached the door and makes a modest knock. Grandmother questions the Wolf as to who is on the door and the Wolf replies in the voice of Little Red Riding Hood that “I am your loving granddaughter Little Red Riding Hood and have came here to meet you and present you with delicious cake and a little pot of butter.” Hearing which grandmother innocently said “Pull out the peg and latch will then fall to open the door for you”. The Wolf obeyed the directions of grandmother and thus the door flew open. Then he quickly sprang upon the poor old lady and ate her up. He thus extinguished her hunger of three days with food. As soon as he finished his meal, the Wolf lay down deceptively in the grandmother’s bed and waited for the knock of Little Red Riding Hood. The innocent girl knocked the door and a voice came from within the home “Who is on the door?” Now at first there was fright on the face of the innocent little girl, which inhibited her from opening the door. But later however she changed her mind of fright by thinking that her grandmother must be suffering from cold. She replied “ it is your granddaughter Little Red Riding Hood and I bring home with me a fresh baked cake and a tasty little pot of butter for you”. She thus drew out the peg and the door flew open. As soon as the Wolf saw that the Little Red Riding Hood he hid his cunning self in the bed beneath the counterpane “Place the cake and the little pot of butter on the bin and come up on the bed with me”. Little Red Riding Hood thus took out her cloak and surprised her tiny self by looking at the presence of grandmother in her nightgown. She asked with surprise “Grandmother dear you have very big arms”. The Wolf replied, “My hand s are big so as to embrace you more dear”. The girl then questioned “Grandmother dear you have very big legs”. The Wolf replied “My legs are big so that I can run more faster with my sweet little child”. Little Red Riding Hood then exclaimed with surprise “ Grandmother darling you have such big ears”. The grandmother replied “my ears are big so that I hear more clear your words my child”. The girl asked again “Grandmother darling, you have very big eyes/” The Wolf replied smartly “The better to see my innocent child”. The child then asked “Grandmother darling you have very big teeth” and the Wolf replied “ My teeth are big so that I can eat you my child” And saying this the Wolf ate the Little Red Riding Hood. Explanation for adaptation The adaptation of the present story has been affixed around the need that is relevant and holds significance as concerned with connection to the school scenario. We have a need to acknowledge therefore that the scene were such designed and formed so that they present themselves with the simplicity in stage and straight-forwardness in dialogues. Since the story under dramatic situation is that of Little Red Riding Hood and thus is chiefly designed for children’s entertainment easy language and simple explanatory means are adopted for the presentation of the entire picture.
