More than often, people are driven by different forces to carry out first hand exploration of nature that has never been revealed. More so, the curiosity and desire to learn what has never been discovered causes an individual’s will to carry on with focused goals of giving an explanation to hidden laws of nature. Shelley describes that, the determination, curiosity and desire ensures that an individual remains steadfast, as it does not finally turn out to bring achievable success (38). Shelley focuses on bringing out the unknown side of research as individuals focus on scientific discovery of things that are non-existent in nature (13). Indeed, the use of Victor as an example of a researcher who later loses interest is intended to discourage individuals from being possessed with curiosity of accomplishing deeds that were not attempted in history.

More significantly, the use of symbols that are well known from a biblical model perspective gives the reader interest to read further the narration. Shelley symbolizes the selfish desires of Victor with that one of Satan as he is struggling in vanity, arrogance and thirst to gain knowledge that is forbidden from him (38). A positive behavior change towards obedience is enhanced. This is clear as God is said to be happy with children who show gratitude and shy away from rebelling from Him, as Victor did through the outrageous acts of evading cemeteries while in his conscious he knew that his acts were wrongful in accordance with the Christian teaching (Shelley 40). Considerably, the changes in technology remain evil, as positive aspects of exorcism assist individuals to recover from the trauma of their greed. It is emphasized that even though, changes into new technologies seem to give satisfaction it is considerable to take on changes that are of positive value towards the Christian teaching (Shelley 40). Shelley portrays how Victor suffered from his aggression, as a monster caused by psychological obsession invaded into his laboratory leaving him a lifeless creature, as his agony becomes renewed in his life (42). Significantly, as an individual find, satisfaction in actions that do not have moral values the reward is far beyond normal pain as depression and disguise haunts an individual.

In most cases, friendship remains as a critical aspect in guidance of an individual’s behavior. Even though, associations differ based on an individual class, race or gender it is essential that they encourage each other about different challenges they face in life instead of criticizing them. Victor finds friendship in Henry, because they do not converse about matters of love but also intellectual matters (Shelley 6). He also finds a lot of friendship because it brought out the better feelings to his heart as he helped him learn values that are more important in his life. In general, it is clear that Victor’s case shows an intense level of curiosity as an individual has more thirst for knowledge beyond the obvious (Shelley 56). Nonetheless, such thirst for knowledge could create a high level of curiosity denies an individual to enjoy life. In the end, failure to come up with a decisive conclusion from the obsession of research causes regrets for the time and sensational moments of recreation lost all in the name of exploration. Victor regrets that lack of time to rest that could lead him to anticipated joy and triumph ends up in psychological obsession in horror, and disguise (Shelley 45).
