In her book, Wollstonecraft writes that every woman should have a level of education according to their status in the society that they live in. She argues that women play an important role in the betterment of the nation as they bring up the children and are the ones who educate them. If they themselves are lacking on sufficient knowledge then the children who are the future of the country will as well. The women should act as their husbands’ companions and not just their wives. She writes of how women should be viewed as human beings and not possessions to puff one’s importance in the society, so both the genders should be given the same rights.
